Art has always played a big role in my life. At the age of 13 I’ve started taking breakdance classes with my best friend. 7 years later I was standing as a professional dancer on stage next to Macklemore and Lindsay Stirling at the YouTube Brandcast 2013. At this very moment I realized that hard work pays off and that you can actually achieve your goals, if you work hard enough and have the endurance to overcome the numerous problems you will face on your way.

One of those problems for me was an injury, which forced me off the stage for half a year. Half a year of rehabilitation and no income. I had to find a solution in case this would happen to me again. So the next thing I did, was traveling to another city for 3 hours by train, to buy my very first camera with a slight price off of 50€. I’ve started consuming hours and hours of Youtube tutorials, before I had the courage to ask a friend if she would model for me. Aftert that I’ve smuggled my camera with me on a dance event and tried capturing the emotions there. I’ve started expanding my comfort zone by experimenting and consistenly working on my skillset.

Now I’m working as a video- and photographer on a whole range of events and projects. I’m also still actively working as a dancer, which has helped me a lot with developing my own style and giving me the sense for creating aesthetically pleasing results.

Kunst hat schon immer eine große Rolle in meinem Leben gespielt. Als ich 13 Jahre alt war, habe ich mit meinem besten Freund angefangen Breakdance-Unterricht zu nehmen. 7 Jahre später stand ich als professioneller Tänzer auf einer Bühne, neben Macklemore und Lindsay Stirling beim YouTube Brandcast 2013. In diesem Moment habe ich gemerkt, dass sich harte Arbeit tatsächlich auszahlt und man seine Ziele erreichen kann, wenn man dranbleibt und sich von den vielen Problemen auf dem Weg nicht einschüchtern lässt.

Eines dieser Probleme war für mich eine Verletzung, durch die ich für ein halbes Jahr nicht mehr auf die Bühne konnte. Ein halbes Jahr, in welchem ich mich um meinen Körper kümmern musste und kein Einkommen mehr hatte. Ich musste eine Lösung finden für den Fall, dass mir so etwas noch einmal passiert. Das nächste was ich also getan hatte, war 3 Stunden mit dem Zug zu fahren, um in einer andere Stadt eine Kamera zu kaufen, welche dort 50€ günstiger war. Ich habe etliche Stunden auf YouTube verbracht und mit meiner Kamera experimentiert, bevor ich das Selbstbewusstsein hatte, eine Freundin zu fragen ob sie für mich als Model vor der Kamera stehen würde. Kurz darauf habe ich meine Kamera auf Tanzveranstaltungen reingeschmuggelt, damit ich mich auch in diesem Bereich ausprobieren konnte. Ich habe ständig daran gearbeitet meine Fähigkeiten und mein Auge zu verbessern, um für jede Herausforderung gewappnet zu sein.

Heute arbeite ich als Video- und Fotograf und kann stolz behaupten, dass meine Arbeit einen hohen qualitativen Standart hat. Ich arbeite daneben immer noch als Tänzer und profitiere davon, dass ich ein sehr gutes Gefühl für die Ästhetik von Bewegungen und Körperpositionen mitbringe.
